Our Founders’ Story
VisitGeorgia is a leading inbound tour operator and travel agency based in Georgia, with over 29 years of experience. It was founded in 1997 by Mr. Alexander Mamulashvili, who, after a successful career as a physicist abroad, returned to Georgia to share the country’s unique opportunities with international travelers.
What we offer
We offer tours across Georgia and the South Caucasus region, including Armenia and Azerbaijan.
VisitGeorgia provides the best Trekking and Cultural tours, wine and food tours, Bike and self-guided tours, as well as multi-country itineraries in Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan and Eastern Turkey.
We also provide special interest tours, and luxury travel experiences across Georgia. Additionally, we offer MICE and corporate travel services within Georgia.
Tours are created for individual travelers, couples, families, groups, corporate clients, and international travel partners, and are organized as private or tailor-made experiences. All itineraries are customized based on travel type, duration, and interests, with prices provided on request.

VisitGeorgia offers professional transportation services across Georgia, including airport transfers (Tbilisi, Kutaisi, Batumi), point-to-point transfers, and transfers for tours, meetings, and hotels. The fleet consists of saloon cars, minivans, minibuses, and coaches, accommodating individuals, business travelers, and groups of all sizes.

VisitGeorgia is among the first travel companies in the region to introduce guaranteed departures, comprehensive liability insurance with the highest coverage limit in Georgia, a dedicated Guides’ Academy, and a structured risk management system, ensuring consistent service quality and safety.
VisitGeorgia became Travelife Certified in 2026, reflecting our long-term commitment to sustainable and responsible tourism. We are proud to be the first travel company in the Caucasus region to achieve this certification and to actively implement sustainable practices across all tours and operations, supporting local communities, cultural heritage, and environmental responsibility.
Our History
1997
The company VisitGeorgia was founded.
1999
Started to take part in the international travel fairs.
2001
Established a Guide Training Center.
2006
VisitGeorgia became the largest incoming tour operator in Georgia and it maintains this position till today.
2010-2016
Organized “Kazbegi trail Marathon.”
2011
VisitGeorgia became a sponsor of Charity House „Momavlis Gza“ and helps children with leukemia.
2012
Created its own travel software, simplifying travel planning and operational process.
2013
Together with our insurance provider, created liability insurance package tailored to Georgian tourist companies.
2014
Awarded a Tourcert Certificate for achieving the requirements of sustainable tourism.
2016
Japanese travel agency “Club Tourism” nominated one of our tours among the 3 best trips in the world.
2017
We have established a modern Auto Park that serves exclusively only the company’s tourists with middle and large size coaches.
2019
Hosted 25,540 tourists and operated 2,436 tours in one year – the highest figures in the company’s history.
2020
Set up comprehensive Risk Management Systems.
2021
Created a Sustainability Policy.
