Day 1: Tbilisi
Georgia’s capital city, Tbilisi, captivates guests with its beauty, narrow alleys, old perched neighborhoods, colorful houses with balconies, and modern wonders of architecture.
› Guided tour of the old city. Exploring the beautiful streets of Old Town;
› Visit Narikala Fortress via cable car
› Personal tour of Tbilisi’s Georgian National Museum’s Golden Treasures accompanied by a professor of archeology;
› Dinner at a stylish Georgian restaurant. Enjoy the stunning panoramic views over Tbilisi from the veranda.
Day 2: Tbilisi - Sighnaghi - Telavi - Tbilisi
› We’ll take you sightseeing around Sighnaghi, a small but beautiful 18th century town.
› Wine tasting at a traditional Georgian “marani” (winery). You’ll be able to see firsthand how Bio-wine has been produced in Georgia for centuries (UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage).
› Delicious lunch on Chateau Schuchmann’s veranda. Enjoy a selection of wines while you admire the imposing sight of the Greater Caucasus.
Day 3: Tbilisi - Mtskheta - Mukhrani - Tbilisi
Georgia, as one of the world’s oldest Christian countries, is rich in old churches and monasteries. In order to explore this rich history we embark on a journey to the country’s historical heartland Mtskheta, ancient capital of Georgia.
› Tour in Mtskheta’s 11th century grand cathedral Svetitskhoveli, where Jesus Christ’s robe is buried and the beautiful 6th century Jvari Monastery; both UNESCO World Heritage sites.
› Winetasting at Chateau Mukhrani, the history of which dates back to the 16th century. You’ll find the feudal landlord’s house next to the chateau. At the Chateau, you’ll taste some of the finest local wines, famous for combining traditional Georgian and European winemaking techniques to create a unique taste.
